HPC systems available to individuals with a licensed product

Through Lumerical's Nanophotonic Design Ecosystem (NDE) initiative, high-performance computing systems are available to individuals with a licensed product at little, or no, additional cost.  Researchers in the following countries may already have free access to FDTD Solutions Engines licenses on a such a system:

SharcNET
System:
FDTD Solutions is installed on a number of clusters within the SharcNET system, with some as large as 3,072 cores and with others employing Quadrics, Myrinet and Infiniband interconnects
Location:

User Access:
Academic faculty members at Canadian institutions; non-Canadian faculty may be approved by the Scientific Director

  WestGrid
System: 3,072 core HP blade-based cluster composed of 3.0GHz Intel Xeon E5450 quad-core processors with Infiniband interconnects
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
User Access: Academics research across Canada; other non-profit researchers sponsored by a faculty member at a Canadian university that is registered with the CCDB may be able to obtain access as well.

UNITED STATES
  National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network Computation Project (NNIN/C)
System:
2x28 dual-processor, dual-core AMD 2.0GHZ, 4GB RAM, 64-bit Opteron blades, for a total of 224 cores. Half of them are also equipped with Infiniband interconnects.
Location: Harvard University, Boston
User Access: Academics Researchers across the United States. Other users may also be able to gain access.

System:
High-throughput cluster composed of 140 dual-core Opteron servers, and 170 quad-core Xeon servers for a total of 1,920 cores connected with 1GB/s ethernet

User Access:
Academic, non-profit, and commercial users who have a valid certificate and belong to a VO
Access Fee:
None

System: 11,936 cores based on Intel Xeon EMT 64 (Nehalem series) quad core processors (2.93 GHz) with 36 TBytes of memory and Infiniband interconnects
